Gave my home a good sage cleaning today. As I sit here in sheer peace despite the fact that my children are playing hide-and-go-seek from the top floor to the basement, I am reminded of the importance of such practices, or facsimiles-there-of, that are historically inherent to the role of the Matriarch. Not that sage, per se, has to be the medium of choice...but it is more about ones own process of cleansing with intention. Not just the physical, tangible aspects of home...but the meta-physical, SPIRIT-u-al aspects as well. Those aspects that, although unseen, have a huge impact on the energy that flows within the home. Woman is far more powerful and in control of the wheel inside the wheel of the family unit than she gives herself credit for or even remotely acknowledges in todays societal construct.
