Geez, what a nagging, gripey, excuse-making shrew... Um hello??? You abandoned your child in a car whilst going into what (by implication) seems to be some sort of department store - in other words, a store where you cant keep a watchful eye on your most important possession in the universe. Maybe a stranger doesnt nab him, but maybe he gets bored, climbs out, and gets run over in the parking lot! I know many people who might, on the other hand, leave a sleeping infant in a locked car while going to an ATM or running into a gas station, but that is a far cry from walking into a department store for 5 whole minutes - if that doesnt seem like enough time for an unsupervised 4 year old to get into trouble, maybe you shouldnt be a parent.... Take your punishment, admit youre wrong, and try spending more time tending to your children then writing 20 page snoozers to serve your vanity in the most pretentious newspaper in the speaking world.
