(Gelaion) Hey guys sorry its been a while. To be honest I was actually taking a break from Yu Gi Oh and even from team FOG. Toe be more honest I also had a great dislike toward the current meta in yu gi oh. I just simply have some personal issues with the play style. I really do not find any of the decks broken. I just find it boring. but enough about my personal opinions of Yu Gi Oh. How about the actual Burning Abyss deck? A deck that was for those who dont know inspired from both the epic poem and video game. Dantes Inferno. A poem about a man who travels and battles through the different levels of hell seeing the cruelties of hell with his very own eyes. In the game he is modified to be a warrior who battles through hell to save his wife from the devil, much similar to the God Of War theme in game play. In Burning Abyss in your main deck you are playing as the actual demons in hell which work similar to the dragon rulers in certain aspects. They have a design where you are suppose to mostly plus through out the game and rarely minus. You also can only use one burning abyss effect a turn. Each burning Abyss card has two effects. One to specail summon itself when the owner has no back row, and a graveyard effect that for the most part special summons another burning abyss card (only two currently do something different) The Deck focuses on aggressive rank three beat down game play. Because of its play style where they almost always come out plussing they almost always have something to hit the enemy with. Their two biggest weakness though is the following. 1-Any graveyard hate or anti special summon cards sch as soul drain or vanitys emptiness will often stop all possible moves the deck has to offer. Skill Drain (if your deck can use it better) is also a viable side deck option, however be noted that some burning abyss decks also use this as a side deck card and because of this often know how to use it to their own advantage. Only use skill drain if your confident your deck gains a bigger advantage. 2-The fact it is a rank three engine makes it very limited on possible strategies it can use. Most rank three monsters are beat down styled cards with only a exception for a few that give you actual plays. Because of this they lack problem solving cards in their extra deck. The deck over all is solid despite its weakness and has been doing fairly well topping numerous events. Frankly I believe this is a deck that will stay in the meta for the next few years. (ironically when it was first leaked no one even noticed it until a few fan boys showed how good it was) Pictures of the poem and game and then Dante as one of the burning abyss monsters.
