General Buhari, who addressed an overflowing crowd of APC faithful at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri, the Imo State capital, during the party’s presidential rally, said emphatically that the insurgency in some parts of the North East could not be quelled by the Peoples Democratic Party -led government because the government was corrupt and insincere. His words: “ If you elect me as the president of Nigeria on February 14, 2015, I am assuring you that our government will chase Boko Haram out of Nigeria within two months because it is the responsibility of any reasonable government to secure the lives and property of its citizens. “We are also going to solve the nagging problem of youth employment through the provision of adequate power, the creation of soft loan scheme to enable them start small scale businesses and of course, we will also ensure that we upgrade health and road infrastructures in order to improve the living standard of our people.” He urged the people to obtain their permanent voters cards to enable them vote for the APC. While President Goodluck Jonathan has promised two million jobs yearly if re-elected into office. Mr. Jonathan spoke Monday in Ibadan, Oyo State, were he met supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, ahead of the February 14 election. The News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, quoted the president as saying he will generate jobs for the teeming unemployed population in Nigeria. Besides corruption and insecurity, the Jonathan administration is persistently criticised over the huge unemployed population in the country…
