General Manager A new opportunity has become available for a General Manager at Adelaide Royal Coach and Apartments on George in Norwood. The Adelaide Royal Coach provides 4 star accommodation. It is conveniently located on the city fringe, just a short walk from the CBD. The Hotel offers 49 accommodation rooms, onsite Terrace Restaurant and Bar, function rooms, indoor heated swimming pool and sauna and a 24 hour reception. The hotel will soon undergo a significant external refurbishment. The Adelaide Royal Coach and Apartments on George are managed by 1834 Hospitality. 1834 Hospitality is proudly South Australian owned and manages a diverse range of tourism and hospitality businesses across Adelaide and regional South Australia, including hotels, motels, resorts, restaurants, cafes, function centres and a golf course. We are currently seeking a dynamic, hands on General Manager to oversee the day to day operations of the hotel and apartments. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, you will be joining the 1834 Hospitality Senior Management team. Desired Skills and Experience The successful candidate may currently be a General Manager or in a management role with extensive front office and or rooms division experience looking for the next step in their career. To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate: •A solid understanding and working knowledge of current best practice for accommodation venues, and be well versed in PMS •Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills that have allowed you to develop passionate teams focused on continuous improvement •Excellent time management skills •A great work ethic, sound decision making and excellent organisational skills to effectively manage competing priorities •Some exposure to Food & Beverage, HR and or Sales would be an advantage.
