General Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, is a septuagenarian. He has spent 7 solid decades and more on the surface of the earth. At that accomplished age, death do not scare such people; whatever they have pushed forward scares them more. So it is understandable if wrongly educated average-aged Nigerians do not see any imminent danger in the attempted assassination of the General last week. Those of us who have been honored with the ever-vast hospitality of the North and we live here happily with our families understand. Lets agree with rough statistics that the population of the North is 100. Non-northerners (Christians and Muslims) will take like 45. With little experience, barely 20 of this 25 will survive the carnage that would have erupted if GMB had gone down with that explosion. Funny enough, those who are ranting with panel-beated grammar on social media have direct and indirect relatives and relations among this potentially grave-bound population. If you cannot respect your own elders or if they dont deserve your respect, you should be wise enough to respect other peoples. General Buhari is not only well respected, he is exceptionally revered. He deserves it; he earns it.
