General Muhammadu Buhari, today in Abuja, officially declared interest in the 2015 presidential race under the ticket of the APC. Once you see the list of those who attended the programme, and what they said there, you would know that people like Abubakar Atiku are just wasting their resources participating in a race which the result has been declared before it begins. Among them were Governors Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers state, Raji Fashola of Lagos state, Adams Oshiomole of Edo state, all the APC Senators from Lagos state, Senator Babafemi Ojudu of Ekiti state, and the Senate Minority Whip, Senator George Akume of Benue state (who spoke on behalf of the APC Senators like he did for Atiku but the tone differs), former FCT Minister, Mallam Nasir El Rufai, Engineer B D Lawal, former NUJ President, Sanni Sorro, Comrade Shehu Sani, former Speaker, Bello Aminu Masari, Senator Olorunnimbe Mamora spoke for the partys Elders, et al et al. Not a few political watchers agreed that Senator Bola Tinubu has endorsed Buhari. But I am adding this, APC would present Buhari-Tinubu ticket as planned from the inception of the merger. As expected of such a crowd, it is a forest of the saints and the sinners. As Hon Dino Melaye was announcing the lost but found missing purse and bag, so also some grassroots supporters were busy fighting and smoking Indian hemp. Yours sincerely was there life! When some five thugs were almost killing another hard guy, we asked two policewomen to intervene and one of them said, Our men would come to do that and when asked why, the response was, We are not armed, we only carry baton!
