General Vocabulary Based Question বিভিন্ন পরিক্ষায় কীভাবে আসে তার নমুনা ----------------------------------------------------------- নিচের topic গুলো থেকে এই ধরনের প্রশ্নগুলো এসে থাকে – ১। Synonym ২। Antonym ৩। Analogy ৪। Odd one out ৫। Idioms ৬। spelling ৭। Synonym --------------------- Synonym মানে হল সমার্থক শব্দ। এর মানে হল আপনাকে একটি শব্দ দেয়া হবে। এই শব্দটির একটি সমার্থক শব্দ আপনাকে option গুলো থেকে বের করে নিতে হবে। সাধারনত এই অংশে একটি Direction দেয়া থাকে। Direction: In each of the following questions, out of the given alternatives, choose the one which is the nearest in meaning/ SIMILAR to the given word. Q: ABATE a) Enhance. b) Cosmopolitan. c) Reduce. d) Vocation e) None of them এখানে ABATE মানে হ্রাস করা আর Reduce মানে কমানো। তাই সঠিক উত্তর c) Reduce. ---------------------- Antonym Antonym শব্দের মানে হল বিপরীত শব্দ or opposite meaning. এখানে আপনাকে একটি শব্দ দেয়া হবে আর এর বিপরীত অর্থমূলক শব্দটি আপনাকে option গুলো থেকে বের করতে হবে। সাধারনত এই অংশে একটি Direction দেয়া থাকে। Direction: Choose the word which is most nearly opposite in meaning. Q: DEBACLE a) decide b) success c) discord d) debate e) None of them এখানে DEBACLE শব্দের মানে হল complete failure. এবার দেখুন কোন শব্দটি এর সম্পুর্ন বিপরীত অর্থ প্রকাশ করছে…… success মানে হল সাফল্য । ঠিক বিপরীত অর্থ। তাই উত্তর হবে b) success --------------------------- Analogy Analogy questions এক জোড়া শব্দ থাকে এবং এদের মধ্যে একটি সম্পর্ক বিদ্যমান থাকে। option গুলো থেকে একই সম্পর্ক বিদ্যমান আছে এমন এক জোড়া শব্দ বের করতে হয়। এই প্রশ্নের Direction টি দেয়া থাকে এমন – Direction: Select the lettered pair of words, which are related in the same way as the capitalized words are related to each other. Q: COLOR: SPECTRUM a) tone: scale b) sound : waves c) verse : poem d) dimension : space e) cell : organism এখানে অনেকগুলো COLOR মিলে একসাথে হয় SPECTRUM । আর একসাথে অনেকগুলো verse নিলে হয় poem । তাই উত্তর হবে c) verse : poem । Q: Arrival : departure : : ________ : death a) life b) person c)birth d) train e) flower এটি আরেক ধরনের প্রশ্ন। এখানে Arrival : departure এর মধ্যে যে সম্পর্ক তা পরেরটায় ও maintain করতে হলে যে শব্দটি লাগবে তা দিয়ে শুন্যস্থান পূরন করতে হবে। Arrival এর বিপরীত শব্দ হল departure এখন death এর বিপরীত শব্দ হল life। সুতরাং উত্তর হবে a) life । ----------------------------------- Odd one out এসব প্রশ্নে সাধারনত একটি list of words থেকে different or uncommon word টি বের করতে বলা হয়। এই প্রশ্নের Direction টি দেয়া থাকে এমন – Instruction: Find the odd word from each list.
