Genesis chapter 2 says a river came out of Eden and parted into - TopicsExpress

Genesis chapter 2 says a river came out of Eden and parted into four rivers: Pishon, Gihown, Hidiqel, and Prat. Commentators have speculated where Eden is based on the river names. Genesis says the Pishon circled Havilah (where the gold is good); Gihon circled Eithiopia; and Hidiqel circled Assyria. Havilah is believed to be an area someplace in the Arab lands of the Saudi peninsula; Eithiopia is deep south down in Africa; and Assyria is way north towards present day Kurdistan. Added to the geographic confusion, none of the places: Saudi, Eithiopia, or Assyria is encircled by a river. Thus, we may assume the four rivers described in Genesis are spiritual waters speaking of the spiritual atmosphere in the three lands. All three lands have unmistakable historic connections. The Prat river is not described as encircling any land or any country. We will come back to that. It is translated into English as Eu-prat-es but that is poetic licence. The text simply says Prat. Similarly, Hidiquel is translated into English Tigress because that river passes Assyria on one side. But again, this is pure poetic licence - nothing to do with what the text says. Reading the Bible in the original language helps. Translators try their best - but their biases come through. Now we will tell you the prophetic fulfillment of the five rivers: River of Eden: Age from Adam until Moses River Pishon: Age from Moses until Christ River Gihown: Time of Christ River Hidiquel: First Jewish Believers in Holy Land River Prat: Age of Grace: Gospel goes to whole world Now you know why Prat does not circle any country or any land. The river Prat circles the entire world! Heres how we deduce the meaning of the five rivers. The Hebrew word Pishon is composed of five Hebrew letters: Pey (80) + Yod (10) + Shin (300) + Vav (6) + Nun (50). If you picture the five letters on a menorah, or holy lampstand, then the Pey connects to the Nun on the outer circle; the Yod connects to the Vav on the inner circle; and the Shin is the candle in the center. Pey (80) + Nun (50) = 130 Accusation Pey means Prayer and Nun means Spiritual Man The outer circle: Accusation of the Praying Spiritual Man (Moses) Yod (10) + Vav (6) = 16 Sacrifice Yod means Authority and Vav means Man The inner circle: Sacrificed: The Authority of Man [Moses teaches:] Israelites submit to the Law of Moses (not make their own rules) Shin (300) means God Revealed. This sums up the whole period of time: Moses endures constant accusations from Gods people; Moses tries to teach them Gods law; along the way, by many miracles, the Israelites learn who God is. The Pishon river circled Havilah where the gold is good. Yes! We see a lot of glittering gold in the temple furniture. But we also see the Jews behaving like Arabs, constantly bickering and fighting. The Hebrew word Gihown is composed of five Hebrew letters: Gimel (3) + Yod (10) + Khet (8) + Vav (6) + Nun (50). Using the five candle menorah principle again, Gimel connects to Nun; Yod connects to Vav; and Khet is in the center. Gimel (3) + Nun (50) = 53 Faithful Witness Gimel means Camel and Nun means Spiritual Man The outer circle: Faithful Witness: The Camel, The Spiritual Man. *This pictures Jesus, the spiritual man, who carries our burdens Yod (10) + Vav (6) = 16 Sacrifice Yod means Authority and Vav means Man The inner circle: Sacrificed: The Authority of Man * Jesus did not come do His own will; but the will of the Father who sent Him which in part was to obey the Law (10 commandments) Khet (8) = 8 means New Man or Holy Man Khet means Celebration * The people rejoice because the Holy One - Messiah - is here! The time of Jesus appearance as pictured in these letters and numbers is glorious. The only problem is the numbers add up to 77 which means False Prophet. Jesus is rejected by the High Priest for being a False Prophet! The river Gihon circled Eithiopia. God sent fresh water to the darkest sinners - and they rejected him! The Hebrew word Hidiqel is composed of four Hebrew letters: Khet (8) + Dalet (4) + Qof (100) + Lamed (30). Using the five candle menorah principle again, Khet connects to Lamed; Dalet connects to Qof; and the center candle is missing. Khet (8) + Lamed (30) = 38 Harlot Khet means celebration and Lamed means trail of blood The outer circle: Harlot Celebrates the Trail of Blood. *This pictures the Jewish People who rejected Christ; and the Jewish People who accepted Christ; both rejoice in his blood but in opposite ways; each calls the other the Harlot Dalet (4) + Qof (100) = 104 Workers Divided Dalet means Door or Gate and Qof means Holy Flock The inner circle: Workers Divided: Gate [divides] Holy Flock * All Jewish people must choose: believe in Christ or deny Christ: the Holy Flock is Divided. Jesus said I Am the Gate. Believe in me, or perish. The center candle is missing. Christ is crucified and has risen. His light is replaced by the inner witness of the Holy Spirit. Hidiqel circled Assyria. As we know Christ said to those who demanded a sign from him: no other sign would be given than the sign of Jonah. Jonah died and was brought back to life from the belly of the whale, picturing the resurrection of Christ. Jonah was sent to the Assyrians! The Assyrians repented at the preaching of Jonah - and so some of the Jews followed Jesus too. As we know the Christ believers were driven out of the Holy Land by the Christ deniers. All for the glory of God, when they left Palestine they crossed the spiritual river Prat and the gospel spread to the rest of the world. The letters of Prat will amaze you. There are three: Pey (80) + Resh (200) + Tav (400) The sum of the spiritual numbers is 680 = 10 x 68 which means Testimony (10) of Victorious Disciples. The meanings of the Hebrew letters: PRAY - Pey RULER (or) LORD - Resh GRAVE (or) Sorrow of Death - Tav How will the world be saved from their sins? PRAY to the LORD of the GRAVE! Dive into the river Prat and swim like a fish! Jesus conquered death: He is the Lord of the Grave - the Resurrected One Amazing! Now consider that this entire plan of salvation from the creation of Eden in the garden to the end of the Age of Grace was written down in Genesis chapter 2! God knows the end from the beginning. Hallelujah! Praise the LORD! He has Conquered Death! mark h lane
