Genius, part 1 Israel is currently celebrating the feast of Purim, a celebration arising, from the Book of Esther. We have already dealt with the Book of Esther, with the text: the hidden time . It is the only book of the Bible, which is not mentioned Gods name. He is a hidden liberator. Lets look at the two main characters in this book, which itself plays back in the castle Susan. Mordecai was of the tribe of Benjamin, and descended from the lineage of King Saul. Haman was a Agagite, a descendant of King Agag, who was slain by the prophet Samuel, when Saul failed to do so. According to the Bible Aga was an Amalekite, Israels oldest and biggest arch enemy, since the time of the exodus of the children of Israel out of Egypt. What is happening in the book of Esther, is yet another chapter in the ancient enmity between Israel and Amalek. And thats not surprising, if you read what it says in Exodus 17 verse 16 : For he said , Because the Lord hath sworn that the Lord will have war with Amalek from generation to generation . The Benjamite Mordecai was appointed long, to the court, as an officer, before Haman the Amalekite came to power, at the Persian court. We can read this in Esther 2 verse 19 and verse 3 Esther 2 and 3, and Chapter 6 verse 12. God had arranged it all in advance. Only then, had been able, Mordecai to discover the murder plot, of two other officers, against the king, Esther 2 verses 21 to 23. He was not an outsider. Only when Mordecai, already held a position tells us, the book of Esther , After these things did king Ahasuerus promote Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite and advanced him , and set his seat above all the princes that were with him , Esther 3 verse 1 . Before the anti-Semite Haman was appointed by men, God had called Mordecai to the royal court, and appointed there. God kept everything under control. God also brought Esther as queen, on the side of Ahasuerus, before, had already begun, Hamans plot against the Jews, Esther 2 verse 17, and Esther 4 verse 4. Mordecai and Esther, thus found themselves outside of their own doing, exactly at the right place - and that was not an easy place to, to be used by the Lord, at the right time. And at just the right time, could not sleep, the king! At his command, they brought the chronicles, and read it to him from the book. As a result, there was - again exactly at the right time - to light - a good deed of Mordecai, who had prevented an attack on the king. At exactly the right time, was in the court, Haman, and exactly at the right time, was rewarded Mordecai , Esther Chapter 6. God had to wait, in itself, due to a higher purpose, but He acted always well, at the right time! And how looks now, the current image of the Middle East? We have to find that increases steadily, the hostility against Israel. It is more threatening every day, worse still, there is less and less space for the people of God. The world listens more and more, to the anti-Semitic slander, organizations, from the Middle East. We see, that the true, becomes a lie. One is lulled to sleep, and do not distinguish between truth and falsehood. And Israel gets into trouble, more and more. This calumny, we also saw in Haman, he tried to turn the king against the Jews. He stated that the Jews were different, then the people of the kingdom of Ahasuerus. Tomorrow , part two .
