George I. Brown and his father, who are employed at Read’s Grist - TopicsExpress

George I. Brown and his father, who are employed at Read’s Grist Mill and Grain Store, while driving to their farm in Bridgewater Sunday, met a Polander named John Sorensky walking toward Ashland. The Polander jumped into his sleigh and, pushing a 38 calibre revolver into the face of Mr. Brown, commanded him to turn around and carry him to Ashland. Brown decided there would be no argument and turned his team around and with the Polander beside him, took him to Ashland. He reported the matter to the police and the Polander was arrested by Policeman Goddard and Fleming and Sheriff Harriman. He had hidden his revolver in the Ben Deane barn. He had been working for Mr. Deane for some weeks, chopping wood in Bridgewater. Sorensky was taken to the lock-up where he was examined by Doctors Cheney and Worthen. They decided that the man was crazy and he was taken to the insane asylum at Concord by Policeman Goddard and Fleming. >The Ashland Citizen, January 23, 1915.
