George Sheppard Page...The Man Who Changed Rangeley Forever premiered yesterday at OSHM. This is our 3rd new exhibit of the summer and we are so happy to be able to share it! GSP was an amazing guy with strong ties to the region. In 1863, when he brought 8 Rangeley fish back to NYC and shared the news with folks like the NY TIMES, this place became an overnight sensation! Special thanks to his family for sharing their mount of a Rangley brook trout named Stanley and belonged to Page. This fish is perhaps the largest brookie ever caught in America. OSHM is humming and we are having fun, so thanks to all our members, visitors, and donors for making it all possible.
