[Georges print] One of the frontline aspirants for the 2015 governorship election in Cross River State, Mr Goddy Jeddy Agba is perceived in all corners to having the financial muscle of giving others aspirant a good political tussle to the race. Jeddy Agba who is currently the General Manager, Crude, in the NNPC is said to have the backing of the Senate Leader, Victor Ndoma Egba, other financial backbones and Victor Abang, a.k.a Mature, one of the longest serving aide to the Senate president. Jeddy Agba told newsmen in Calabar last week that he was in the race to succeed Gov. Liyel Imoke. No doubt, Cross River is a peaceful state, but the state is currently under political crisis as the masses are confused on the camp to belong to and who to support! The crowd following Jeddy Agba is over alarming, maybe he pays well, were man de work, na der him the chop. The case is not similar to other aspirant like Fidelis Ugbo, Speaker of Cross River House of Assembly, Larry Odey and others. All said and done, stakeholders in the game of politics have caution Imoke not to hand pick his successor, while others believes he have the free hand to pick his successor.
