Gerard Pique isn’t the most subtle of fellows. Having received a heap of criticism for his performance in Barcelona’s El Clasico defeat last week, the defender has been linked with a move away from Camp Nou. And his latest act implies he’s not that interested in turning his fortunes around at the Catalan club. In this week’s Supercopa de Catalunya clash with Espanyol – which admittedly is just an exhibition match – Pique showed a complete lack of interest after being substituted at half time. Taking his place on the bench alongside Luis Suarez, it seems the former Manchester United man wanted to be anywhere but there, spending a fair chunk of time looking at his phone. Even Suarez didn’t look too impressed with his antics, showing just how disrespectful this was to his team-mates. The game ended up going to penalties, which saw Pique perk up a little, if not a lot. He managed to stand up and look vaguely interested in the outcome, before he and Pedro began playing a childish ear-flicking game. Barca eventually won the game, but Pique probably didn’t even realise.
