German elections are today! Who will win is probably not being put in so much question, but the system here is different than in the states and i think its worth mentioning.... Parties here can form coalitions with other parties to come out on top (it allows newer parties a chance to influence and change something in the system, not leaving ONLY TWO top parties in the country with complete power).....so who the leading parties coalition partner will be, is still up for grabs. The old coalition party will possibly not get the number of votes needed to continue on as the leading parties partner which means the leading party will have to make new compromises with a new party if that is the case. although its been rather boring up till now, it should or could get interesting later on today. It would be great if we did the Coalition thing in the US as well! When will we see the day when someone else, outside of the republicans and democrats, has at least a coalition parties say to listen to when concerning american politics!? Reform is needed in the American government!
