German trade balance, current account surplus widen in Jan. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . Germany’s trade balance surplus widened as expected at 15.0 billion euro in January, compared with a revised 13.9 billion euro originally reported at 14.2 billion euro in the previous month. Exports sharply increased to 2.2 percent from a revised drop of 0.9 percent in December, beating 1.5 percent median forecast. Imports jumped to 4.1 percent, from a previous loss of 0.6 percent revised to 1.4 percent decline, while trailing 1.3 percent expected. More, the current account balance showed surplus widened to 16.2 billion euro, from a revised 21.1 billion euro, above median analysts` forecast of 16.0 billion euro. The EURUSD hit a session high at $1.38777 unchanged from session opening. The pair is currently trading at $1.38644 as of 09:19 GMT+2. #egyptyard
