Get a job....is that the first thought that runs through your head when you see a homeless person holding a sign? I wont say I havent but those are the ones claiming homeless on a sign in one hand and an iphone in the other. I mean the ones who might stand outside asking for money or walking around with no coat in 20 degree weather. Some of them have illnesses impairing them to work, some of them dont have shit to even prove who they are and cant afford it, some of them are really trying to get on their feet. So instead of telling them to get a job or overlooking them, stop at the nearest shelter and donate clothes, or personal necessities to help them get that job interview so they can get a job and support themselves or their families. Holidays are coming and though it may be the happiest for many of us, its also the saddest for a lot of people. Dont be selfish. Donate your time, money, or clothes sitting in your closet to make a difference in someones life.
