Get a snack, a drink and go pee, this is a long one. Ok, Im enlisting all of you, my Facebook peeps, as my support group. If any of you have eaten at La Cacina Italian Resturant in the last 3 years, my son Stetson probably prepared your meal. I owe a debt of gratitude to owners Mark and Cynthia Celfone. They took a recent high school graduate under their wing and taught him how to cook in their Resturant. Stetson quickly moved up to the line, cooking, ordering, inventory and preping. Stetson has always had an adventurous spirit, Camping, snowboarding and jumping out of perfectly good airplanes. He usually worked 50-60 hours a week. Saved his money and prepared for his next adventure. Well, yesterday at 11:00 am it began. Along with his girl friend Cipriana, they set out. He sent me pictures from Rockefeller Center last night and from Central Park this morning. Theyre heading to Ground Zero, the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building, then heading to his sisters house in New Jersey, (my daughter Tiffany who got married in October), before heading west on their plotted coarse towards their new jobs and apartment in San Diego. With stops at national parks, the Grand Canyon and other once-in-a-lifetime stops. This is were you guys come in. Im not a real religious person, I believe in hard work and positive thinking. The power of positive thinking and positive actions is contagious. As is a smile. So please send positive thoughts for my son Stetson and Cipriana on their journey. Im very proud of him for having the strong will and mindset to make this kind of move. Empty nest syndrome doesnt begin to describe my emotions. I love you Pal.
