“Get away from the windows” Lukas yelled grasping Monique’s arm, wrenching her away from a mentally paralyzing vision of the coming ice tsunami. Miles of the moon’s frozen wastes erupted upward, ringed shockwaves rippled from the explosive epicenter, hurling great sheets of ice to dance and tumble through air before smashing to ground, splintering into clouds of shards, swept up by a tide that thundered toward the mining facility. Lukas’ next stride was lost to a floor that dropped eighteen inches. He and Monique glided forward as if in slow motion, the floor rising up again to end their flight with a sudden impact that threw them up. Tumbling down steps amidst screeching complaints of superstructure and restaurant patrons alike, they crashed into a table that’s decorative lamp flickered and shorted out. Cutlery jittered on the floor around him, glass rained down to join the jig. Lukas panted, snorting, shaking his head, trying to rid his sight of the blood red haze seeping through an enraged mind. He snarled, ripping the table from it’s metallic mounting, protesting metal sheering around bolts. Lukas lumbered toward shattered windows, grasping the tables support with one hand as if wielding a huge weapon. A dazed Monique turned over to see the Captain thrusting his table against one of several broken windows. She scrambled to her feet, for a moment surveying the carnage, chairs and recovering bodies everywhere and Zack racing passed toward windows with another table. She turned, reaching for the nearest table, wrenching at it. increasing her suits Titan mode to ten, Monique ripped the table up taking a floor panel with it. With each step Monique fought the beast within, repeatedly denying it possession of her mind and whatever horrific deeds it might do if such a killing machine were to defeat the healer she was.
