Get pumped. Literally. Lol. I have literally found the easiest motivator for a work out ever. Come closer, closer, its a secret. I only stumbled on it by mistake. Promise not to tell a soul? Virtual Pinky Swear? Okay who the hell am I kidding, I am sure everyone already knows this. Music. There see, you knew it was coming. And I am not going to lie I feel like an idiot for not realizing it earlier, I mean way earlier. I am not so bright sometimes. Okay so I like most people who literally force themselves kicking and screaming to work out, listen to music while doing so. Most of us just turn on the radio to a station we like, or throw what ever music app we subscribe to on shuffle. And then go along our miserable way. Ladies & gentleman. STOP. Stop that right this instant. Seriously. No more shuffle, random, or annoying radio commercials! You are going to have yourself a little building session, Think a three story house with a garage and pool, the works. This is what I want you to do, Think of all those songs that you hear in the club, the bar, the car, the grocery store, that just make you go cray-cray, (did I use that right?) Those songs that make you just wanna get up and shake that booty and be like Yeah I am a bad MOFO. Like you didnt know. Those songs are the ground floor for the start of your work out mix. Then I want you to think of all those songs that remind you of that one ex, you know that one. The one that made you weigh the pros and cons of going to prison for life. I am talking those songs that make you want to get up and break stuff, while pretending its their heart or face. (Not gonna lie, I have been there) And if it causes you to weigh those pros & cons again, just remember there is always someone angrier than you in prison. This is the second floor. Third floor, Heres where it gets a little tricky. I want you to find all those motivational ballads. The ones we roll our eyes at, laugh at and cant help but sing along. No seriously I want you to be that, Eye of the Tiger. I want you to be screaming, Dont Stop Me Now while powering out that last mile. I want you pumped up like Rocky Balboa running up those damn stairs! Find the music that literally inspires you to just kill it. I know you can do it. If I can do it, you can. And I am not sure whos lazier, me or my cat. I swear just re-vamping my playlist has made such a huge difference. I turn it on as I start my breakfast and just start getting pumped to go jump on that treadmill, bust out those crunches, & sweat my ass off. (Sorry for the profanity) But for me it works. So I had to share it in the hopes that it would be an AHA moment for others out there. Below I will list off a few songs on my playlist :) I am starting to work on another motivator for my workouts in my spare time, I will be sure to share it as soon as I am finished.
