Get to know our Nurse Practitioners Leslie Kearfott and Jessica Goeth and what they bring to our practice. Leslie and Jessica are an integral part of our team and are qualified to assess patients in both well and sick scenarios, as well as prescribe some medications. For those not familiar with this position, Nurse Practitioners (NP) are registered nurses (RN) that have completed advanced education (a minimum of a masters degree) and training in the diagnosis and management of common medical conditions, including chronic illnesses. Nurse practitioners provide a broad range of health care services. They provide some of the same care provided by physicians and maintain close working relationships with physicians. An NP can even serve as a patients regular health care provider. Leslies qualifications include: * Masters Degree with top honors from Oakland University, with a specialization as a Nurse Practitioner * Experience as a Pediatric ICU Nurse, Childrens Hospital, Detroit * Former Pediatric Clinical Instructor, HFCC & OCC * Pediatric Clinical Professor, University of Michigan, School of Nursing * Currently working on her doctorate degree Jessicas qualifications include: * BSN - Oakland University * MSN - Oakland University * Member - Michigan Council of Nurse Practitioners We are very lucky to have both of them on our team!
