Get your kids or try out yourself The Hour of Code event hourofcode/us thats coming up in December 8-14. You can play around now on the site, learning in the most fun ways how to develop code, host sessions for schools or kids at home, learn as a teacher, or just have fun yourself. You can start with a 1 min session, and it gets addictive as you learn more and more :-). This is running in 130 countries, 40 languages, and reaches 10s of millions of kids. There are 6 school sessions being hosted in South Africa currently, but as mentioned anyone can partake, and I mean anyone - there are sessions for people without computers and Internet access, so if you get organised upfront, you can drive something for those people too.
