Getting Scottie Items: Unless shopping at a specialty store, Id have to say that Christmas time is probably the best time to obtain Scottie dog items...either as a personal purchase or if really lucky as a well thought out gift from someone. And, of course, the best gift in my opinion, is the one out of the blue and totally unexpected. So, here it is, not even December yet, and I have already received several Scottie dog presents. This one of a Scottie with a cute doghouse, came from Marshalls department store if I remember correctly. Oddly, the person that presented me with this Christmas tree ornament, has often in the past made comments that I have too many Scottie decorations. Of course, such talk just goes in one ear and out the other, as I do not even understand that concept. I found a wonderful, but lone Scottie cup at HomeGoods, while wandering the store. It doesnt bother me that I cannot find a mate or even more than that, as cups are simply a display item. No one should really find my non-use of the Scottie cups as odd, once they learn that my routine tea mug holds 52 ounces. Obviously, a cup, even decorated with a Scottie, just isnt going to provide the full range required for my tea needs. Of course, once the holiday season hits, I start scanning for Walker shortbread tins, and this year found something different. A bag of miniature Scottie dog shortbread cookies at World Market, along with a flatten tin of the same cookie in the larger size. So, even if that is all the Scottie dog items for this year, Im still set. But, Im rather optimistic still...after all, it isnt even December yet!
