Getting Sleep “You rise up early, and go to bed late, and work - TopicsExpress

Getting Sleep “You rise up early, and go to bed late, and work hard for your food, all for nothing. For the Lord gives to His loved ones even while they sleep.” Psm. 127:2 NLV For about two years, this scripture kept coming to me. My job wasn’t a forty hour week, but often I’d put my time in straight through to save on unpaid mileage. Then I’d come home hurting from the waist down, too tired to go to sleep until hours later. Lou was sent to Oklahoma for work. I hated being home alone for six weeks at a time. Things had to change. I went off to pray. God gave me our text verse and the statement, ‘you’re going to Texas.’ It wasn’t long after Lou and I were saved, God dealt with us about the tithe. Mal.3:10 “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do,” says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies, “I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won’t have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test!” We’ve found after thirty-seven years there’s always enough. Times came when it looked like we couldn’t make it, but somehow there was enough. To go to Texas meant retirement for me. SSI was a pittance compared to my former wage. When I do the math, the money isn’t there to take care of everything and pay the tithe. Yet, when I live the life, there’s always enough to eke it out and give offerings. God’s gave me several other promises, I’d like to share with you. Psm. 23:1 “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Prov. 10:22 “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Psm. 103:2, 5NLT “Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me...5 He fills my life with good things...” Eph. 3:20 “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Oh how I praise Him that the POWER is His which worketh in me! Psm. 91:14-15 “Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. 15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.” I will trust Him to provide for tomorrow and get my sleep. How about you? It’s your choice. You choose. by Debbie Veilleux You have my permission to repost or share this devotional for others. Please keep my name with it as author. Thank you.
