Getting a lil misty-eyed as I carve this beautiful turkey... between the mom who is always there to guide me in the right direction, the dad I turn to for unerring advice, the brother who I admire most of almost anyone and the gorgeous girl he brought into our family, the husband who works grueling hours and never misses the opportunity to treat me so lovingly, the friend who cheers me on from a distance and the one who is there to squeeze my hand when it starts to sting... the granny I just lost, the Mommom who taught me how to own a kitchen, the Poppop who inspires us all to constantly learn, the grandpa I didnt have much time with, but whose knifes I lovingly use every thanksgiving while wishing he was here, and the new family I was lucky to marry into... the family and friends old and new who challenge, encourage and entertain me.... a million reasons to be grateful today. Im duly blessed, and truly grateful. :D
