Getting back to work outside politics by checking out the progress at our historic preservation project. This magnificent church, built in 1929, almost destroyed by fire in 1984, could be a treasure for downtown Phoenix once again. After over 20 years of hard work preserving the damaged structure (a huge hive of bees under the rose-window was the latest challenge), our non profit has scraped together the funds to stabilize the old (but incredibly sturdy) walls and start the process of restoration and adaptive reuse. Our goal is to make sure that this building will again be an active contributor to our community!
