Getting on my soap box for a moment today: Folks, if you see posts like this PLEASE be aware that free to a good home ads are the best ways to get poor animals like these into the hands of dog fighters who will use them to fight or as bait dogs or even into the hands of folks that will breed them and torture them and then leave them for dead on the side of the road to suffer in the most horrible ways. I know most shelters/rescue groups are so over crowded that so many good animals are euthanized, but seriously, thats a much better fate than where they could potentially end up as a result of a free to a good home situation. I know this kind of thing happens all the time because most people dont know any better--you see it all the time driving around various places and on Craigslist and these online garage sale pages...please ask folks like this to take these sorts of posts down and to think before they post...And, please everyone, spay & neuter your pets. There are too many free to a good home or dogs/cats that end up at over crowded shelters that are overburdened and its easily prevented by spaying/neutering pets as a part of being a responsible pet owner. And while I dont work with and am not affiliated with any rescue organizations or groups, I dont care how busy I am or whats going on in my life, Im always happy to help anyone, anywhere, anytime with pet/animal situations. Ill help re-home, Ill give you food or help with expenses...just anything to avoid you giving animals away for free like this. Seriously.
