Getting ready for Thanksgiving? I made my cranberry sauce using liquid stevia instead of sugar and it turned out delicious! It is sweet, tart, and the jalapeno peppers add the right amount of kick while the chopped up orange peel provides good texture. Dont like spicy? No problem! This is also great without the jalapenos. Jalapeno Cranberry Sauce Makes 2 cups INGREDIENTS- 12 oz fresh cranberries 1 cup fresh squeezed oranje juice 1 teaspoon orange rind 2 tablespoons orange peel, finely chopped 3 fresh jalapeno peppers, cored seeded and finely chopped ½ teaspoon liquid Stevia* DIRECTIONS- In a sauce pan brin orange juice to a boil. Add cranberries, jalapeno peppers, orange peel and rind and return to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes stirring occasionally. Add liquid stevia and mix well. Remove from heat. Once cooled store in refrigerator in an air tight glass container. Enjoy! *Stevia is a natural sweetener. Liquid stevia is available at any health food section of a grocery store. You are sure to find it at Whole Foods and Trader Joes.
