Getting the Smallest Boat Shop in Point Place Ready for Multiple Projects. First in line... A 16 Glastron Outboard that will have new transom and floors put in before being sent to a body shop. Then a 1957 23 Lyman needing some minor stem and plank repairs and an Exterior Refinish. The Mallard might make it in for some overdue rib repairs and an exterior refinish... But there is rumored to be another 19 out there that needs my help with new rubrails and decks. There is a 15-1/2 foot lyman outboard project that has details yet to be determined... And of course maybe my new personal project the Cruis-Along angler will be getting refinished, some new mahogany rubrails, the rear seat rebuilt, and a new head gasket on the motor. Excited to say that winterizing is ALMOST done. ALMOST you say? Didnt it just freeze? Well there are still several boats in the water... most for no good reason (including my own). The water temps are at 40+ degrees, which warms the engine compartments nicely even when the outside temps drop way below freezing. Anyone remembers physics? Which is gonna warm your hand up first if its frozen? A 5 gallon bucket of 40 degree air? or a 5 gallon bucket of 40 degree water?
