(((Ghana Connect: 6 to 7pm. Join the discussion now))) Hundreds including women and children have been displaced. A state agency broke down their homes; another state agency is now spending to bring humanitarian assistance to these victims of the Tema Development Corporation demolitions. A couple of weeks ago some residents of Adenta experienced a similar fate, one person was shot dead in the process. Just today, residents of Adjin Kotoku have also been served with notices announcing an impending demolition of their homes. The state agencies demolishing these have argued that the affected residents have no legal right to the land. But is this simply a high handed, inhumane approach to a far complex problem or is it a justified necessary evil for the sake of the proper development of these affected communities? If you have something to share please post your comments here ahead of the show.
