Ghana National Gas Company has so far paid a total of over GH₵8.1 million as compensation to 2,361 farmers. The farmers have their farms along the 11 Km right of way of the Western corridor gas infrastructure development project. Some 39 rubber farmers were also presented with cheques to cover the cost of rubber plantation cleared to pave way for the construction of the project from Atuabo to Aboadze. Cheques for additional eighty farmers are currently being processed and when paid would mark the final payment of crop compensation. All compensation claims were authenticated through an enumeration and valuation process carried out by the Land Valuation Division of the Lands Commission prior to payment. #WorkingForYou
