Ghising likely to raise voice post festivities KURSEONG 26 Sep 2013 Gorkha National Liberation Front supremo Subash Ghising, who has chosen not to comment on the present situation in the hills, is likely to break his silence after the festive seasons are over. The GNLF was trying to regain its lost glory and pursue its demand for Sixth Schedule status when the GJM launched its second phase of agitation following the announcement of a Telangana state by the centre. According to GNLF sources, Ghising is closely monitoring the goings on in the hills including the GTA meeting scheduled for Friday. A GNLF activist requesting anonymity said that whenever any party takes up the issue of separate statehood, his party supports the move silently as the aspiration for Gorkhaland is above all other demands. But since the GJM appears to be stuck with the GTA, the Ghising has decided to speak up as he believes the Sixth Schedule to be a far better option for the hills, rather a gateway to achieving a Gorkhaland state.
