Ghost Hunt at the Sir John Moore Foundation on Friday 3rd October 8pm - 2am £25pp Applebys school was built 300 years ago in 1697. In the victorian times it was used as a boys Grammar school. And then closed between 1933 - 1957 when it was reopened as the village primary school. William Huskisson was Applebys most Famous pupil who was well known for being the first man to die in a railway accident by the Stephensons Rocket. There have been many reportings of ghostly activity .The staff work in fear of the voices and poltergeist activity that surrounds them ,which makes it one of Leicestershires most haunted schools that are still being used today.
