Ghostbusters Gets A Lego Short And Next Thursday Is National Ghostbusters Day LEGO is great, Ghostbusters is great, combine the two, and what do you have? That’s right, greatness. The four paranormal investigators recently got their very own set of everyone’s favorite stackable plastic building blocks, but now those small figures have their very own stop motion animated short movie. And, because it’s an amazing film, and a formative event in many of our lives, Thursday, August 28, has been declared “National Ghostbusters Day.” This short is exactly how you imagine it in your head as you play with your own version of Ecto-1 (I’m assuming that all of you all ran out and bought a set as soon as they became available). A recreation of the gang’s first cursory attempts to bust a ghost—you’ll notice that this is before Winston Zeddmore (Ernie Hudson) joined the team—there are a few slight alterations. You may take note that Homer Simpson has taken the place of Slimer. The two definitely have similar appetites when it comes to hotdogs. According to YouTuber MonsieurCaron (Marc-Andre Caron), who made the video, this is because there needed to be ghosts, but there is no LEGO version of Slimer, which is honestly a travesty of justice. They should really get on that and rectify this situation. Despite that, this is still pretty damn sweet. And if you keep your eyes peeled, the DeLorean from the LEGO Back to the Future set also makes a brief cameo.....Paul
