Giant Sized Problems Do you have giant sized problems? Do you feel like you just need a good, cleansing cry, or have you just gotten to the point that every time you swim up for air something seems to be pulling you back down? Been there, done that! I was meditating this morning and came across something Joyce Myer wrote called Giant Sized Problems. She used the scripture in Numbers 13 when Joshua and Caleb went into the land of milk and honey and the report they brought back. They saw opportunity and the Promise of God to possess the land. The others saw giant sized problems, possible death or defeat and were totally negative. They lost sight of the promise and risked disobedience instead of believing and holding onto what God had said. We do the same thing. Instead of focusing on what we see as giant sized problems, focus on our God! There is no problem that is as big as our God! Every problem is a grasshopper if we stand on His word and our faith. And while it takes prayer, a lot of work and even discomfort , hurt and pain God brings us through! There are no giant sized problems that can measure up to the promises of God and His plans for us! It has been such a long time and I have missed this fellowship. As a result sometimes I was in fellowship with the issues I was dealing with. Don’t fellowship with problems, don’t just go to God to petition for what you want, to complain about all the things that are going on… go to the Lord in praise and with thanksgiving making your requests known and believing that He has already made a way out of no way and equipped you with everything you need! Glory to God! We pick up finally on the Promise of Prosperity! The scriptures tonight begin with Job! Be blessed everyone! Job 42:10 - New International Version After Job had prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes and gave him twice as much as he had before. **(But before he could pray for his friends, Job had a revelation of who God really is. In Job 42:5 he says, “My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.” God opened his eyes of understanding and then Job’s problems paled in comparison to who God is and what God can do! That gave him the strength to pray for his friends, he got out of self, and stopped focusing on his losses, his pain and agony! Glory! God wants us to get out of the ashes! We’ve made it through the fire, so we don’t have to sit in the ashes! ) Job 42: 12 - New International Version The LORD blessed the latter part of Jobs life more than the former part. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys. Job 42: 16-17- 16After this, Job lived 140 years, and saw his sons and his grandsons, four generations. 17And Job died, an old man and full of days. Psalm 128: 1-6 (NIV) 1 Blessed are all who fear the LORD, who walk in obedience to him. 2 You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. 3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table. 4 Yes, this will be the blessing for the man who fears the LORD. 5 May the LORD bless you from Zion; may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of your life. 6 May you live to see your children’s children— Isaiah 60:20-22 Isaiah 60:20-22New International Version (NIV) 20 Your sun will never set again, and your moon will wane no more; the LORD will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end. 21 Then all your people will be righteous and they will possess the land forever. They are the shoot I have planted, the work of my hands, for the display of my splendor. 22 The least of you will become a thousand, the smallest a mighty nation. I am the LORD; in its time I will do this swiftly.” Jeremiah 20:11-13 Jeremiah 20:11-14New International Version (NIV) 11 But the LORD is with me like a mighty warrior; so my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced; their dishonor will never be forgotten. 12 LORD Almighty, you who examine the righteous and probe the heart and mind, let me see your vengeance on them, for to you I have committed my cause. 13 Sing to the LORD! Give praise to the LORD! He rescues the life of the needy from the hands of the wicked. 2 Corinthians 9:10 10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.
