He helped Gilas Pilipinas to victory over Jordan last Friday with a stellar defensive effort against naturalized scorer Jimmy Baxter, before helping slow down former NBA player Jarvis Hayes of Qatar on Tuesday. For Norwood, there was extra motivation in going up against Hayes, who was limited to 41 percent shooting in his team’s loss to the Philippines. “It was fun today. It’s a challenge. He’s an NBA guy. He was drafted by the Washington Wizards when I was a freshman in George Mason. I was going to Wizards games and watching him play,” Norwood told InterAKTV.
