Gilgit— 10 international tourists have been reportedly killed in Gilgit Baltistan. As per law enforcement agencies unknown miscreants broke into a tourist lodge at Fairy Meadows, a popular tourist destination in Diamer district of Gilgit-Baltistan on Sunday night, and brutally killed the foreigners. According to initial reports most visitors belong to China, Russia and Ukrain. The region often has been seen infested with sectarian xenophobes but attack on international visitors happened but never before. The latest unfortunate incident is likely to hamper tourism in the region.Tourism is a major, if any, source of income for the people of this constitutionally deprived region.
