Ginos Blind Tiger - Monday August 25, 2014 The nice leisurely game I advertised was delivered this afternoon for 30 players who came out and tried their hardest to compete for the $90 cash prize. Thanks to my dealers: Stephen Henderson, Fredrick McLam, and Ashleigh Pursell. Thanks to 2 players who came in right at the break we broke the barrier we needed to upgrade to the $100 prize. We started with 2 tables and added a third right before the end of the first blind level. Things moved along and we jumped right into points when Ashleigh took out 2 players when one player with J7 shoved, followed by Ashleigh shoving with queens and a third all-in with aces. A queen on the flop would be sufficient to knock down both players and get us right into the points. We started final table at the 500/1000 level with 10 minutes to go. Players got a quick feel for the table, and things got real interesting when Ashleigh raised to 5k, followed by Fred Olsen shoving with queens and another all-in after him with aces. Ashleigh wisely folded her pocket jacks and no queen came came to save Freds day. A couple players seemed to be amazed by what other players were calling their raises with, but only when they were on the wrong side of the pot rake of course. Fredrick McLam ended up going out 7th when he got it all in with pocket 4s, he had two players going up against him and the board had 4 clubs, surely someone had a club right? Not a single person in the hand. However, a pair of 7s was sufficient to best Freds 4s. Russell Ramuten went out next giving Ashleigh a chance to make up some of the gap between her and him on the leader board. Stephen Henderson finally got it all in after playing with 2 or 3 big blinds for most of the 1-chip/2-chip level. The top 4 decided on a chop with each player getting $20 and playing for the final $10. The highlight of 4-handed play was Ashleigh and Jarvis getting into a pre-flop raising match until Jarvis and Ashleigh snap called. Jarvis started to celebrate, but then they both flipped over pocket aces. The rainbow flop assured that the moment would be as anticlimactic as one would expect. Robi Harrell went out 4th deciding to go all-in with 23 off because he only had 2 big blinds left and figured it was good enough to call a raise that was more than his stack with the big blind coming. Uansurprisingly, his two unders didnt factor in. Lee Kyser ended up going out 3rd as the blinds worked her stack down until she had little option but to go all-in. The heads up battle between Ashleigh and Jarvis went back and forth without a clear favorite for about 15 hands. But then Jarvis went all in with a flush draw and Ashleigh called with an ace high. She was ahead on the flop, but Jarvis flush hit on the turn and crippled Ashleigh down to 3 chips. The next hand got dealt face up and Jarviss QJ hit a queen on the flop and that was enough to finish her off. Congrats to Jarvis on the win! Your final table: 10. Fred Olsen 9. Vincent Wilson 8. Sampson Collins 7. Fredrick McLam 6. Russ Ramuten 5. Stephen Henderson 4. Robi Harrell 3. Lee Kyser 2. The Duchess 1. Jarvis Jones
