Ginos Blind Tiger - Saturday 9/6/2014 Who knew what started out as a big crowd would turn into the biggest crowd of the season for tournament? A $300 cash prize can make that happen? Ashleigh started out with 48 players and they streamed in steadily until we reached our final total of 90 players! We got to the first break with 8 full tables and 2 alternates that got in shortly after the action got up and going again. A big thanks to my swarm of dealers, especially those that had to return to dealing after being broken down: Jeff Wells, Stephanie Adams Farrow, D Jamar Banks, Chirag Patel, Andre Fields, Rashad Wise, Ann Spring, Bryan Bell, Crystal Cash, and Darnez Howard. All through the next two hours, players went down steadily and we broke down tables, but we still had 5 tables left when we finished the 400/800 level. We were at 3 tables when went up to 1000/2000 and two tables when we went up to 2000/4000. Every player could taaste their share of the prize and were waiting for their spots before shoving. The red 10K chips were out again en mass! We started final table with 7 minutes left in the 4000/8000 level as Crystal took out two players and Chirag took out one at the same time, taking us from 12 to 9 in the blink of an eye! A chop was discussed briefly 7-handed, but quickly squashed. Greg Nacey, the house no chop assassin, held out hope that he could make it a third tournament where he vanquished the non-chopper. However, he ended up going out 5th. Sadrac had built up a dominant stack and held to his guns of not chopping yet. We played for a while 4-handed, eventually reaching the 16k, 32k level. Sadrac had gone from the big stack and got knocked down to the small stack, but one double up built him right back up again. However, now he was more more amenable to a chop and the top 4 agreed to an equal chop 4 ways for $67 apiece. Post-chop Sadrac started bleeding chips again and eventually went out 4th. Mr. Lee held on for a while, but once we moved up to the 32k/64k level, it basically became all-in or fold for everybody. His luck didnt last, and Crystals luck seemed to be holding. She had pocket aces 3 or 4 times at final table alone! Crystal set up for a final table battle with Alan Clack. We played at 32/64 for about 15 minutes without any major damage to either player. Nobody wanted to call the other players all-in except for one hand that ended up as a chop. The clock is always the enemy though in tournament poker and we moved up to the illusive 14th blind level of 64k/128k. Crystal ended up winning her first all-in and that left Alan without enough for a big blind, but still about 12k above Crystals small blind. However, she decided to go with her 52 against his all-in blind. It was certainly a battle of dominant hands as Alan turned over his 62 of spades. Crystal flopped a 5, and no 6 came out to let Alan out-draw her. Congrats Crystal on quite literally the biggest win of the season so far! Her pick with this massive wall of chips is here! Also, I would like to give a big thanks to Andre, Adonus, and Chirag for helping reset my starting stacks, setting decks and all their help with helping pack up. Otherwise, I might still be at Ginos now! Your top 10: 10. Did not sign out 9. Cody J. Henderson 8. Argusta Cass 7. Joshua Williams 6. Kevin Lawson 5. Greg Nacey 4. Sadrac Colin 3. Chong Lee 2. Alan Clack 1. Chasin 8s
