Girl Power at KDM Cookstown 100 Sarah Boyes is just one of the five females competing at the KDM Cookstown 100. Sarah , who just loves her road racing, and has competed at Scarborough, Manx Grand Prix,and of course the Cookstown 100!. Whilst in the midst of getting her race bikes prepped up for the forthcoming season, Sarah told me how much she was looking forward to this years event; “This year will be my third time racing at the KDM Cookstown 100 , its such a well run event which always draws a good crowd in ,and everyone is always very friendly and very welcoming, people just cant do enough to help! I really do enjoy coming over for it. Last year was my first time on a 600 round there i was over the moon to qualify second in the junior support b race and ended up with a 7th place, improving on lap times each time out. I was again over the moon to achieve a personal best in qualifying 8th on the front row of the second wave in the 125 race however my bike had broke down and i never made the start of the race so hoping to make up for that this year!! This year like last year i will be bringing the 125 and 600 again and i will also be making my debut on Ian Mercers 650 which I am really looking forward to!” The KDM Cookstown 100 will take place on Friday (practice)and Saturday, 25th/26th April. Roads Close on Friday at 12 noon, and on Saturday at 10.00am. The KDM Cookstown 100 is also the second counting round of the 2014 Duke Rankings Championship, and the first round of the season in NI.
