Girls Varsity Volleyball competed at the Clinton Invitational on Saturday, placing 1st by defeating LCS, 25-14, 25-19; defeating Grass Lake, 25-10, 25-13; and defeating Clinton, 25-11, 25-15, in Pool Play. In the Quarterfinal, the Indians defeated Britton-Deerfield, 25-16, 28-26. In the Semifinal, they defeated Manchester, 25-14, 25-16. And in the Final, beat Ann Arbor Greenhills, 25-21, 25-19, for the championship. Team leaders included: Morgan Skelton: 48 kills, 36 digs and served 68-73 with 51 points and 10 aces; Sam Root: 105 assists; Hannah Galloway: 45 kills, 10 aces, 7 blocks; Karmyn Wilford: 41 digs; and Taylor Mareches and Mykenzie Niemann: 6 blocks each. Their record is 12-7-2 (2-3 SEC) and the take on Monroe at home on Tuesday, September 17th.
