Gising na Porac, commonly referred or known as GNP or GP. A collective body who wish to; Vision With the volunteerism and unity of every concerned citizens of Porac Pampanga through GNP, Porac will become one of the Progressive, Organized, Rich, Attractive, & Clean (Corruption Free) Municipalities of the Philippines. Missions: To unite all the concerned and loving citizens of Porac To initiate social & political system change, and to minimize or totally abolish the corruption in the town. Advocate economic growth of Porac and its citizens (Poraqueño) through sustainable livelihood programs funded by various donors, partners and GNP members. Promote and save the Kapampangan language and local culture of Poraqueño. Increase the level of awareness of Poraqueñio about the current issues and concerns i.e. political, environmental, social and etc, through social media. Brief History of GNP (Gising na Porac) Gising na Porac (GNP) was founded by Engr. Levi Lansang-Buan on July 12, 2013. Engr. Buan became aware of the chaotic situations in the local government, community, environment and society of Porac. Through the help of social media, more specifically known as Facebook, he sought the help of Mr. Denden Dayrit to start a group of people who basically has the heart to start a change for the common good of every Poraqueños. The two striving Overseas Filipino Workers have searched and found the other individuals namely, Caren Tolentino (UAE), Gemilyn Austria-Marimla (Philippines), Anton Austria (USA), Jorge David (USA), Lorna Gelizon-Mangiliman (Hongkong), Conrad Perez (Philippines), Julie Locre (Philippines), Adonis Galiza (forced to resign to pursue his political career), who have the same visions and reveries to their town. Far ahead, Poll Elirey Soliman (Philippines), Jhoven Sanchez (Philippines), Pia Angeles (Philippines), Zandro Perez (South Korea) and Rommel Santos (Philippines) joined the leaders of GNP. For almost a year, GNP achieved to reach around 5,800 members. In 2013, GNP managed to have various projects; Tree Planting Project in Villa Maria, Porac Pampanga Donated tools, working tables, equipment and first aid medical cabinet for Pulong Santol High School Annex Cash donation to church in Barangay Pio (Model Community, Porac, Pampanga) Cash donation to one cancer patient in Barangay Babo Sacan (for leg amputation). Participated in the celebration of Porac Town Fiesta known as Binulu Festival) Christmas party and gift giving for approximately 150 nos. of less fortunate children/kids from various sectors of Porac In 2014, in celebration for its first year anniversary, GNP planned the following activities within the month of July, every weekend; Week 1 - RUN for Good Governance, Nature & Progress (GNP) Week 2 - Blood Donation Drive Week 3 - GNP Tree Planting Year II themed as Greening Porac (GP) Week 4 - Official Launching of GNP’s 1st livelihood project named Gabe Ning Panyulung. The long term flag ship project of GNP to provide sustainable livelihood and enhance the financial income of our Farmers and indigent citizens of Porac
