Give Life Again I plant my seedling, gently, in perfectly moist - TopicsExpress

Give Life Again I plant my seedling, gently, in perfectly moist soil, in a lovely little pot And sprinkled a little water over it, every drop a touch of my love Then place it on a table, out of the wind, and all of harm’s way Where the sun can send its rays of life onto it, and let it grow Days pass, and miraculously, the stem appears from the sand diligently Apparently less surprised than I am, for it looks so gallant, so proud Growing at its own pace, ignoring all but is vision of tomorrow Gaining strength, drawing from the sun, the sand, and my love Without warning, little leaves appear underneath its bud As it begins to demonstrate its pride, its vigor, its love of life And soon, the bud opens and leaves appear, more beautiful Than from the hand of any artist to every paint, colours of God My love for my plant is total, as I watch in fascinated appreciation And witness it take its role in pollination, its opportunity to recreate The pride swells within me, witnessing the natural progression Of life so exquisite, that I feel overwhelmed with humble gratitude Then slowly, my lovely plant begins to weaken, and it begins to die For its life is like any; limited in time, reliant on the grace of all Yet as it weakens and prepares to feed the earth with its fibres I weep not, but give thanks, for I have loved with all that I could Gone, and I look at the empty pot, baron to some, expecting to me For the soil calls, pleading, offering itself to give life yet again As the heat on my back reminds me of the suns impatience to give While the rain begins to fall, yes, falling to give life again
