Give a Man his flowers when he’s alive (A friend or A brother) I have sat many days and think as to whether Henry Allen McCabe Quoikapor is a friend or a true and biological brother not only to me but to all other friends he had ever met in his life sojourn. We got to know each other in 2000 specifically attending the Buduburam Refugee School in Gomoa District Accra Ghana. Since then abrasion has never visited nor tested our friendship. Physically, we have never live under the same roof but ideologically we are. Some of the things we did together during our days in Ghana were: attended school together, played soccer together both on the school (BUDUSEC) team and on a club team (ROZA FC). The third team we should have join was, in YANYAN-NU call “SAVIOUR MADRID”. We were both justifying but later didn’t complete the process due to some reasons best known to ourselves. Since the departure of this brother to the great United States of America, he has never gone a year without calling me. Don’t even ask me about handout, he as don’t it for an uncountable period. This handout can’t only be measured in financial relativities but as well in materials term. An amazing one was when I nearly drop out of university due to school fees he sharply, promptly, succinctly and humanitarianly came to my aid just like when a dependable soccer player is been introduced into a game to save his struggling team until I got myself a Scholarship sponsor by the President’s son; Hon. ROBERT A. SIRLEAF. This reminds me of an old adage that says “You are not remembered by what you receive but by what you give”. I will not make reading this piece bole, Hence, I will stop this far. All I am doing is to show appreciation to a friend who over the years has not forgotten the friendship bond between us. Let me conclude by saying, there are friendships that go beyond the ordinary and stand tantamount to becoming a blood relationship, such is ours. You can build yours toooooooooooo.
