Given the initial success of the film, Gods Not Dead, let us take - TopicsExpress

Given the initial success of the film, Gods Not Dead, let us take the initiative to invite unbelievers to see it and believers to see it. But do not stop there. Take up the issues raised in the film in more depth. Study hard, as did the student who took on his atheist professor. This film offers an opportunity for further and better witness; but it is not a resting point. It is a starting point for many. Here are some of the intellectual issues raised in the film: 1. Has science replaced religion as the way to see the universe? 2. Is there evidence for a designer found within physics and cosmology? 3. Does the existence of evil defeat the claim that an all-good and all-powerful God exists? 4. What are the religious speech rights of students at the secular university? Note the legal cases mentioned in the credits at the end of the film. 5. When does God cause us to get uncomfortable and go against others wishes in order to be faithful to our calling? What does it mean to bear our cross in intellectual matters? Please, in the name of God, do not be content that this film exists and is being watched. Christians need to follow up with prayer, study, and courageous witness. There are two books mentioned in the film, I recommend: 1. Lee Strobell, The Case for a Creator. 2. John Lennox. God and Stephen Hawking.
