Giving back. Is anyone still teaching their children to do this? By teaching I mean actually participating in activities that give back to the community and having your children involved to witness, learn and grow up knowing it is a civic duty for people who actually care. It was a common practice in my upbringing and one of the reasons I am surprised so few seem to consider it as important in raising their children. Does not matter what avenue you partake in to give back as long as you pick one you believe to be worthy of your time and efforts. It is not about what you get out of it in return but what you put into it helping others.
