Giving lots of thanks today for the village that it takes to rescue: • For all of the compassionate people on the front lines trying to take a drop out of the coarsing river of unwanteds in the south - Belinda, Brandy, Janet, JR, Shona, Sophie and Susan. Without your strength, courage and determination, these helpless animals would not stand a chance. • For all of the fosters who open their homes, love like their own, and tearfully kiss goodbye . . . just so they can open their homes again and start with a new foster. Without your generosity of spirit so many would never have had the chance or the time to find loving forever homes. • For all the adopters who opened their hearts to a new dog or puppy who needed a home. Without your belief that shelter dogs are simply unwanted and unloved -- not damaged -- these dog would not have the lives they now have. • For all the past adopters who say hello throughout the year just let us know that their pup is still loved -- after all, isnt that the whole reason we rescue?? • For all of those supporters who simply check in to send positive thoughts, good wishes and hope to all the dogs still waiting for their homes, and check back to revel in the successes.
