Glad I was home... and I wouldnt have known what happened if I didnt see it with my own eyes. I have these metal decorative fencing panels that I bought a garage sale years ago...they hook together to form a border around planting beds pretending to keep the Chihuahuas out of garden areas. Tut was lying in the sun and I spooked the neighbors cat who (unknown to Tut) was lying near him. The cat ran and Tut chased...only to have his collar hooked by an unattached piece of fencing. As he struggled and SCREAMED I went to try to loose him... and realized the fence hook had impaled his neck right over his jugular vein!!! It was in (and doubled back as hooks go...) about an inch. I was able to hush his screams and get the collar off... and extract the hook from his neck. Bleeding was minimal so I assume it just punctured the skin...and has left a nice hole. He let me clean it up and hes pretty shaken up; it could have been ugly if I hadnt been there.
