Glad to report back in Drew CanoleFitLife.tv! IF I won a juicer, I would make some juice for my grandparents. My grandmother is showing signs of arthritis in her hands, is suffering from depression, and poor digestion; her doctors treat her with pill after pill, prescribe conflicting solutions to her ailments (ironically exacerbating them), and tell her theres no way out. She eats very little, and has lost any joy from eating or drinking food. With the juices, I hope she can absorb benefitial nutrients that will revitalize her whole system, cleanse her out a bit, and help her to glow as she once did again with a zest for life. As for my grandfather, he is a man with great pride. And because of that pride, he refuses to admit his age. When he was born, one of his leg was striken with polio. Today he staggers and leans forward whenever he walks, and often chooses to do so without the help of his cane. He eats a lot of processed, refined food, and does not exercise, especially for the sake of his balance, posture, and leg strength (his entire left leg is like a stick, having been taken by the polio). My hope is that the juices will also benefit his system and maybe encourage him to take better care of himself, and regain some confidence. Since studying nutrition and fighting candida, I have also learned from extensive literature about the role of our gut health towards our vitality. With juicing, I plan to make juices that are bio-fermented with healthy probiotics to nourish our inner ecosystems, as Body Ecology founder Donna Gates-The Body Ecology Diet puts it. I can make juices enhanced with sprouted plant based protein powders and these probiotics for an amazing start to the day, recovery shake from exercise, or afternoon pick me up. I can make antioxidant rich juices that the body can readily absorb and then some, with the addition of healthy microbes to fight infection, increase immunity, and pave the way for better health. That is my plan, and I hope that the juicer will enable me to carry it through some day. :)
