Glass Slipper Project helps students dress up for the prom! Heres your chance to help a Chicago high school student be the Belle of the Ball at her high school prom. The Glass Slipper Project collects new and almost-new formal dresses and accessories and provides them, free of charge, to Chicago high school students who are unable to purchase their own prom attire. We distribute the dresses at Glass Slipper boutiques, where each student receives individual assistance from a volunteer personal shopper as she shops for the dress of her dreams. To date, this project has helped more than 16,000 young women attend their proms in style. Please donate your gently used formal wear (bridesmaid dresses will work well), shoes, handbags and costume jewelry. You may also donate new makeup or a monetary contribution. Donations collected until March 15. Contact Rebecca Parks at [email protected] to arrange a drop off. Boutique days are April 5, 12, 26 and you can sign up to volunteer online at glassslipperproject.org/. You can also drop off dresses or accessories at Smitten Boutique (1047 Madison Street, Chicago, IL)
